Samantha Dias BA (Hons) ACII – Directors & Officers Liability Line Underwriter
Samantha began her career in 1996 after a degree in Spanish and Economics, as an Underwriting Assistant at CNA Re in the Professional Liability Department predominantly writing US Casualty Treaty. In 2000, after a brief spell at QBE, she moved into Directors & Officers Liability at MAG Global Financial Products (now HCC Global Financial Products) in Barcelona as an Underwriter on the Spanish desk. In 2002, she transferred to the London office where she underwrote an international book of D&O, Financial Institutions and excess Professional Liability. After seven years with MAG / HCC Global, she became Deputy Underwriter at Marketform where she underwrote international D&O on an open market and binding authority basis and obtained her ACII. In 2011, Syndicate 2526 obtained Lloyd’s approval to underwrite Directors & Officers Liability and in April Samantha started here as D&O Line Underwriter.
