Doré Underwriting

Doré Underwriting, the Service Company for A G Doré & Others Syndicate 2526 was launched in 2004. Doré Underwriting is an efficient, cost effective vehicle for placing facultative Professional Indemnity, Medical Malpractice and Directors & Officers Liability insurance where the Syndicate provides 100% security using a Doré product wording, for both primary and excess layer policies. The account is serviced by a dedicated underwriting resource, Natalie Honey, who is based in the London office, and managed by Warren Jones. Alternatively, the Service Company can also be accessed via our underwriters at the Box at Lloyd’s.

As the Service Company is principally accessed by e-mail and telephone, we pride ourselves on our fast response times and we aim to respond to your queries and requests within 48 hours.

Although the standard professions constitute a significant proportion of the Service Company account, the majority of risks underwritten fall under the miscellaneous category where a more niche and innovative approach to underwriting is required. The Syndicate has developed a broad range of wordings for various professions which can be found under the Products page on this website, together with details of our underwriting appetite.

The Service Company transacts with a limited number of supportive, specialist brokers located throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland. The account largely consists of UK, Channel Islands and Republic of Ireland domiciled policyholders, but for 2011 the territorial scope for the Service Company has been widened to include risks domiciled in EU member countries.

Doré Underwriting is the trading name for Doré Underwriting Services Limited. Doré Underwriting Services Limited binds insurances for and on behalf of A G Doré & Others Syndicate 2526 and is an appointed representative of Whittington Capital Management Limited.

The Service Company benefits from Lloyd’s security through the Syndicate.
